Another village comes on way with scenic beauty as you reach to Oudtshoorn to visit phenomenal Cango Caves. Enjoy the view of magnificent mountains as we pass through the scenic Hex River Valley. This particular area is observed as South Africa’s largest producer of table grapes. Carry on towards Matjiesfontein, a beautifully reinstated throwback to the late Victorian era. It was declared as a National Heritage Site in 1975 and back then a portion of the local hotel worked for British officers as a recovering hospital, in the course of the Anglo-Boer War. As we further proceed to Prince Albert which has existed from 1762, you’ll know how delightful the village is. It is famous for its olives, sun-ripened dried and fresh fruit, vineyards, and local cheese. Overnight in Prince Albert.

Enjoy your delicious breakfast as we take on our trip further through a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the enormous Meiringspoort Pass and Waterfall which will leave you awestruck with its stunning rock formations and miraculous beauty. Next stop is the picturesque Little Karoo village of De Rust, as the zigzag road carves the way through the Swartberg Mountains. We further carry on to Oudtshoorn, the home to the great limestone caves of the Cango Caves, and known as the ostrich capital of the world. A quick stoppage at a local wine park to enjoy wine tasting before we hit the road again on a tour of the Cango Caves, one of the world’s prodigious natural marvels, carved by nature through the ages. We will have a guided tour to Ostrich Farm in the afternoon. Overnight in Oudtshoorn.

Have your breakfast and get ready to travel over the Outeniqua Pass to George, South Africa’s sixth oldest town with numerous ancient landmarks. Some of them are the Slave Tree and King Edward VII Library building which is claimed to be the best example of Edwardian architecture in George. We continue to travel through Wilderness, a gorgeous holiday resort to Knysna, celebrated as the oyster box of South Africa. Knysna settles on the banks of a stunning lagoon in the heart of the Garden Route. Set off to the Featherbed Nature Reserve on a fun lagoon cruise. Enjoy the panoramic views of the lagoon and town via a trailer ride to the top of the Western Head, and later get back for lunch in the afternoon. The remaining day is yours to explore this charming town on your own. Overnight in Knysna.
