Maldives: A Tropical Heaven
The Maldives are known as “the tropical heaven” for reasons such as its beauty. This tropical country has separated islands and islands are surrounded by its lagoon. Each island has pure white sandy beaches. The sea covers 99% of the Maldives and it is where you can see beautiful fishes and corals.
To escape and sit quietly on the beach- that’s my idea of paradise in Maldives
The Maldives conjure up images of pristine beaches, reef-ringed atolls, and luxurious bungalows on the water, where lucky guests can observe fish through glass floors and jump into the sea from their deck. The beaches of Maldives are indeed a true heaven.
Being one of the beautiful places the Maldivian nation has always been on my “bucket list,” so when I decided to visit Sri Lanka and Dubai last month, the Maldives was a logical and obvious addition to my itinerary.
It was a Vacation
The staff was super friendly, they knew how to make a good drink, and there was always food around. Meals were buffet style. People. Maldives’ people are esteemed around the World for their hospitality and affability towards their guests. Maldives’ ancestral roots can be traced back to Sinhala’s of Sri Lanka, Marathi’s and Gujarati’s of India, Arabs, Malays, and Northern African dispositions.
When we reached the hotel we got a traditional Maldivian welcome. Traditionally whenever guests visit a local island, the islanders welcomed us by serving a fresh coconut drink. This tradition has continued to this day and you better don’t get surprised if your resort offers a beautifully decorated coconut drink when you reach your destination!
We explored some beautiful places in Maldives that were on our bucket list.
One of the world’s smallest national capital, Male Island in Maldives is known for its ancient mosque and colorful buildings. With its beauty and progressiveness being talked about the Male island today has grown into one of the most visited places in the Maldives. It is a casual town best for wandering without pre-planned itineraries as we didn’t have one. With heritage buildings on the one hand and trees and waters with welcoming shades on the other, Male island in the Maldives is one of the beautiful places in Maldives.
This pint-sized Maldivian capital has a lot to offer to its tourists. Away from a resort’s infinity pool and succulent buffet, Male Island in the Maldives gives you the most authentic experiences in the Maldives. From strolling on the streets jostling with shops and lively markets to learning about Maldivian history and culture, I am sure you would love every moment spent in the capital city of Male Island. It is one of the beautiful places in Maldives.
Here are many amazing things that you can do in Male Island over for a single day. Several interesting museums, archaeological buildings, and religious sites stand proudly around the city, and a day tour of Male Island allows you to experience all of them in their glory. Some of the best things to do in male include:
We explored the Sultan’s park, National Stadium, Tsunami Monument , Tomb of Mohammed Thakurufaanu.
Sat just across the sparkling waters from the capital of Male, the island of Hulhumale is forever growing and growing as more and more land is reclaimed to house the sprawling urban tendrils of the city. It’s got a gorgeous artificial beach on its eastern haunch, a clutch of leafy neighborhoods, a glass-topped mosque, and planned promenade walkways above the Indian Ocean. It was one of the beautiful places in Maldives that I wanted to visit.
This is by far the best snorkeling I have ever experienced. The amount of marine life, the colors, the coral, the temperature of the water was amazing. I saw Moray Eels, Blowfish, Giant Clams and so much more. On the way out I, dozens of dolphins escorted us and jumped out of the water and it was one of the beautiful places in the Maldives that I had seen. There is a very strong current and it is in the middles of the ocean. An absolute must tough if you can get there.
A dawn walk along the beaches of Maldives is not only refreshing exercise, its also a chance to see what the night’s waves have washed up. There will probably be bits of dead coral and shells, but leave those there; empty shells become homes for crabs. You will see arrow-shaped footprints of sea birds and perhaps tyre like trails traced in the sand from the sea’s edge on the beaches of Maldives.
Thrilling side of life
Because of its marine location, the Adventures in Maldives boasts every kind of water-based adventure sport from paddling around a lagoon in a transparent hulled canoe to being propelled several meters below the surface of the sea by underwater scooter, or gliding several meters above the surface dangling from a parachute behind a speedboat. For the energetic and adventurous, the adventures in Maldives is just as rewarding a destination as it is for the laid back sun worshiper or sophisticated epicure.
On the other hand, many resorts support water sports like canoeing and paddle surfing because of their minimal effect on the peaceful environment.
White sandy beaches scattered across miles of untouched nature,Maldives is true phenomenon it’s unique distinctive feature.Take a trip,on a seaplane and explore it like no other. These were some of the best places in Maldives that I got to experience and I took a lot of memories back that I would cherish forever.
