Welcome to Manila, the capital of the Philippines! Upon your arrival, you will be picked up from the airport and will head straight to your hotel to check in. You are free to enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure.
Overnight in Manila.
Mt. Pinatubo is an active volcano that has last erupted in 1991. The massive destruction left the surrounding area bare. However, the beauty of the crater is what draws people to visit it. The trekking site is approximately 2.5 hours away from Manila and you need to be registered before 6:00 AM. So you will have to leave your hotel at 3:00 AM. Upon your arrival to the site, you will ride a 4×4 jeep that will take you to the starting point of the walking trail. This ride will make you feel like you are shooting an adventure movie scene or a car advertisement as you drive through rough terrain of rocky rivers, ashy fields, and steep dirt roads in the mountains. The trek going to the crater can be a bit tough as you will have to walk over boulders and on sandy cliffs for about 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the trail and how fast you are. When you get to the crater, you will have some time to rest and take in the astounding beauty before you leave. No swimming, though.
You will go the same route to get back to the starting point where your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to Manila. Along the way, you will stop for lunch and to visit a memorial shrine for the soldiers who fought during WW2.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to catch a flight to Cebu. You will then travel south for 3 hours to reach Moalboal. This small town has a lot to offer the adventure-seekers and is a famed snorkeling/diving site in the country.
Overnight in Moalboal.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the site of your river climbing adventure. There will be a briefing before you start the trek. As the activity name suggests, you will begin by trekking through the jungles and head for the waterfalls instead of abseiling down the waterfalls. The area is mostly unspoilt nature so you can expect to encounter wild animals and lush greenery. This is the easy part of the tour.
You will then have to conquer a series of waterfalls by scrambling over rocks and swimming against the current. There would be times when holding on to the fissures in the rocks would be necessary so you won’t be swept away. It is going to be challenging and thrilling at the same time.
Overnight in Moalboal.
After breakfast, you will have some time to go out into the water and enjoy the rich marine life in Moalboal. You don’t have to go far from the shore and you will already see colorful corals and fishes. But if you are comfortable in the water and would prefer to go to the deeper part of the sea, you might encounter the sardines run that people look forward to when swimming in Moalboal in recent years. Spotting a sea turtle or a whale shark can happen too, if you get so lucky.
In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Cebu. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
Overnight in Cebu.
This tour will show you the rural side of Cebu. In the morning, you will head out to the mountains and attend a short briefing on safely traversing the steep drops and rough paths of the downhill trail. You will begin your ride right after and will stop for lunch.
You will experience the “boodle-fight” style of eating. It would seem like there’s a big celebration as you gather around a long table with all the food just dumped on the laid out banana leaves. You will have to use your hands on this one. You will continue riding after taking a short rest. Before heading back to the city, you can go for a swim to cool off.
Transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Cebu.
Depending on your flight schedule, you can do some shopping or see more of the city before your transfer to the airport.
