Luang Prabang’s popularity multiplied after it became the capital of the first Lao kingdom. Luang Prabang is a small city that lies at the confluence of the rivers Mekong and Nam Khan. An amazing landscape is created by the lush green magnificent mountains that give a spectacular backdrop to it. The tranquility and tidiness of this city with its blend of spirituality and world-class comfort makes it an abode for enthusiastic travelers.

The Lao Kingdom has been known as the Land of Million Elephants and the Elephant Village is exactly keeping up its fame. It has been a beautiful sanctuary of the South-Asian elephants since 2001. The responsible tourism at the elephant camp is managed by a group of compassionate people who have been striving to shelter, rehabilitate and protect elephants in Laos from abusive logging work. These elephants enjoy their natural habitat, lead a pleasant life with considerate humans and earn their own living.

You will create memories for a lifetime at the Elephant Village with these glorious, majestic companions. You will also be helping to create and sustain the livelihood of many skilled people such as elephant food suppliers and care takers, restaurant staff, chauffeurs, boat drivers, tour guides, gardeners and farmers.

This is a full day tour that includes activities such as the bareback elephant ride, trekking up an incline for 5 kms to enjoy the stunning view of the landscape, enjoying a picnic box lunch amidst nature, trekking back to the Khmu village to discover diverse lifestyles of the ethnic tribes, travelling in the long Lao boat to reach the elephant camp and coming back to your hotel at Luang Prabang by 4.00 pm.
