A native activity to most islands could undoubtedly be diving or snorkeling. But what if one of them lets you in on its deepest secrets literally. Palawan is one of these very few places that keeps hidden an underground river. This river winds up into a cave before actually joining the south China sea, but what’s unique about it, is that its totally navigable and its stalagmites and stalactites, comes in the most distinctive shapes and forms that’s really one a kind. But as you expected that’s not the only place this tour would take you too, you get an extra bit of wake boarding and Volcano trekking a short distance from Manila and some fun island hopping in Honda bay.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrive in Manila

Upon your arrival, a driver will pick you up and take you to your hotel to check in. You have the rest of the day to wander around and get yourself acquainted with the capital city of the Philippines.

Overnight in Manila.

Day 2Wakeboarding in Laguna

After breakfast, you will head out to Laguna, which is approximately 1.5 hours away from Manila, for a wakeboarding adventure. Wakeboarding is a sport that requires you to ride a thin board as your feet are strapped in the shoes that are mounted on it. A cable system pulls the rope that you hold onto to stay afloat. The facilities at Republic Wakeboarding Park are ideal for both beginners and intermediate riders. There are professional instructors who would teach you the basics for you to enjoy a safe and fun ride.

Day 3Trekking to the Volcano Crater

Trekking to Mt. Pinatubo is a one-of-a-kind experience. This volcano erupted back in 1991 which caused one of the worst devastations in history and impacted the environment on a global scale. The volcano remains active to this day but the eruption left a landscape of profound beauty that trekking to the crater became a popular activity.
For this tour, you will be departing Manila at 3:00 AM and travel north for approximately 2.5 hours. It is necessary to register before 6:00 AM. To get to the starting point of the trek, you will have to ride a 4×4 jeep, crossing ash fields and rocky rivers. This ride is going to be thrilling and an adventure all on its own. The trek up to the summit can be anywhere between 30 minutes to two hours, depending on how fast you are and which trail you will use. The trail can be quite a challenge with boulders and sandy cliffs along the way. However, once you get to the crater, the view will just take your breath away. You will have time to relax and enjoy your beautiful surroundings. Although the turquoise water will be very tempting, swimming is not allowed. When you are ready to go back, you will walk the same route and ride the jeep again.

On your way back to Manila, there will be a couple of stops. The first one is for lunch and the other one is to visit a shrine that was built in honor of the soldiers who fought during WW2.
