Day 1Arrive in Kuala Lumpur

Upon your arrival in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital, a driver will pick you up and take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Overnight in Kuala Lumpur.

Day 2ATV Riding Through the Jungle

You will explore the hills and jungles of Malaysia riding an all-terrain vehicle for that ultimate challenge. This 3-4 hour-off road ride is suitable for both beginners and experienced adventurers.

It will have you ride through muddy holes, rough terrains, and steep hills. Before starting on the trail, you will be briefed on how to properly handle the ATV and will be given other important instructions to ensure your safety. After the tour, transfer back to your hotel.

Overnight in Kuala Lumpur.

Day 3Bungy Jumping in Sunway Lagoon Extreme Park

Just a short drive from Kuala Lumpur is the Sunway Lagoon Theme Park. This is the perfect place for heart-pumping activities that you can do whilst on vacation. The highlights of this park include the slingshot ride and bungy jumping. The bungy jumping facility here doesn’t hold the record for being the tallest or the scariest, but it is the first in Malaysia. And diving headfirst would surely give you the high that you seek in a death-defying activity.

The park has many attractions to offer its visitors. You can explore at your leisure.

Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight in Kuala Lumpur.

Day 4Fly to Kota Kinabalu

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Kota Kinabalu. It will take approximately 2 hours and 35 minutes to get to the capital city of the state of Sabah. You will then be transferred to your hotel upon your arrival in KK. You can do some exploring of the city on your own. Sabah Foundation Building & Sabah Museum, the Kota Kinabalu Floating City Mosque, and the Pu Tou Tze Buddhist Temple are some of the points of interest in the city.

Day 5Kayaking at Borneo Kellybays Paradise

To start the tour, you will be transferred to the jetty and will take a short mangrove cruise to reach Borneo Kellybays. This paradise is ideally located to have an 8-km beach overlooking the South China Sea on one side and mangrove trees on the other. You have the day to enjoy the watersports available or just soak up the sun by lounging by the beach. You can enjoy kayaking through the mangrove forest. You can also have a go at the speed-induced banana boat ride and see if you can keep yourself from falling off. Lunch and hi-tea will be served during your stay.

In the late afternoon, you will cruise back to the mainland and transfer to your hotel.

Day 6Diving in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park (TARP)

In the morning, you will be taken on a 15-minute boat ride to the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park (TARP). This protected area is comprised of 5 islands and is 4,928 hectares in size. After the safety briefing, you will start your first dive with your dive master. You can enjoy the surface interval before your second dive on the upper deck with some drinks while soaking in the beauty that surrounds you. Lunch will be served after your second dive. You will then be taken back to the mainland around mid-afternoon.

Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight in Kota Kinabalu.

Day 7Exploring Kiulu Countryside on a Bike

After breakfast, you will be taken on a 1.5hr-drive to Kiulu countryside. There will be a safety briefing before you are given a bicycle. The circuit that consists of gradual climbs and steep downhill will let you enjoy a scenic view of green forests, beautiful mountain ridges, and rocky shorelines. One of the challenges you will encounter is biking through a wooden suspension bridge. This tour is not all about off-road riding. you will also have a chance to interact with the Dusun Tribal people as you have a drink in a native’s house and visit their rubber plantations and learn the process of rubber tapping.
Lunch will be served by the river. You can also take a dip to cool yourself, if you wish.

Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight in Kota Kinabalu.

Day 8Conquering Mt. Kinabalu

The day starts early in the morning as you journey to the Kinabalu Park headquarters to register, get your packed lunch, and meet your tour guide. Transfer to Timpohon gate to begin your ascend to the highest mountain in Malaysia. The 4-5 hour-trek will take you 3,289m where you can find your accommodation. There you will attend the mandatory briefing on Via Ferrata and meet your Mountain Torq trainer. This Italian word that translates to “iron way” which refers to a climbing route that has been installed with cables, rails, suspension bridges, and other anchors to make it accessible to least experienced climbers.

Day 9Via Farreta Climbing

The second day to the summit will have you start at 1:30am to be able to catch the sunrise at Low’s Peak which is at 4,095m. The view up here will definitely take your breath away. You will then begin your descend and meet your trainer at 3,668m to experience the Mountain Torq. This is the highest via ferrata in the world and the first in Asia. The beginner’s route will take aprroximately 2-3 hours to complete.

After your climb, you will return to your accommodation for breakfast and descend to Timpohon Gate. Transfer to Kinabalu Park headquarters for lunch before your transfer back to the hotel.

Day 10Wildlife River Cruise

Your wildlife adventure begins with a 2-hr afternoon drive, passing through the rural areas, to get to Kota Klias Peninsula. High tea will be served upon your arrival. You will then ride an open boat to cruise on Klias river. You will be exploring the animals’ natural habitat so you will have to stay alert for better chances of spotting the wildlife in the area. Some creatures that you might find are endemic proboscis monkeys, long-tailed macaques, kingfishers, eagles, flying foxes, and bats.

Enjoy village-style dinner by the river lodge as you immerse yourself in the sights and sounds surrounding you. After your meal, get on board again to be mesmerized by fireflies glowing in the night.

Transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Kota Kinabalu.

Day 11Departure

Depending on your flight schedule, you can squeeze in some last-minute shopping before your transfer to Kota Kinabalu International Airport.
