Tour Details

Take your adventures to the next level by experiencing Sabah’s mountains and rivers, a true nature lovers’ playground. Borneo’s highest peak, Mount Kinabalu is going to test your patience, stamina, and overall fitness. But it is definitely a climb worth your every effort. You’ll know why when you get there. Kiulu River, on the other hand, offers you a different kind of challenge and thrill. The rapids will have you work your arm strength as you wrestle with the strong current to stay afloat and in your raft. You can also try body rafting. Now, this is an escapade that’s twice the fun!

Important Information

It is recommended that all climbers should have themselves medically checked before attempting any mountain climb. If you have a history of suffering from the following ailments, it is highly recommend that you should refrain from climbing: Hypertension, Diabetes, Palpitation, Arthritis, Heart disease, severe anemia, Peptic ulcers, Epileptic fits, Obesity (overweight), Chronic asthma, Muscular cramps, Hepatitis (jaundice); or any other disease which may hamper the climber.

Children below 15 years old must fill in the indemnity form upon registration at Park Headquarters.

Cancellation Policy

  • In the event of cancellation The following cancellation charges will be applied

Number of days between tour commencement and receipt of cancellation notice:

  1. 30 days or more (50% of tour cost)
  2. 15 to 29 days (75% of tour cost)
  3. 08 to 14 days (85% of tour cost)
  4. 04 to 07 days (95% of tour cost)
  5. Less than 04 days or No Show (100% of tour cost)
  • It is possible that due to inclement weather or any other unforeseen circumstances that itinerary or routings could be changed. Arrangements of the similar standard will be substituted, should it occur. However no refunds will be available. The operator reserves the right to make changes to travel arrangements at any time without compensation.

Refund Policy

  • There would be no refunds for cancellation after the tour has commenced or for any unused tour services.

Confirmation Policy

  • Upon confirmation of availability, usually within 24 hours during business days, a payment advice will be provided. Upon receipt of payment final itinerary will be emailed.

Itinerary

Day 1

Hotel/Airport pick-up
2-hr journey to Kinabalu Park HQ with short stopover at Nabalu, where locals gather to showcase fresh produce and handicrafts
Check in and free time
Dinner at a restaurant and overnight

Day 2

Breakfast at a restaurant and collect packed lunch
Briefing and registration at Kinabalu Park HQ. ID Tag application and mountain guide assignment
Transfer to Timpohon Gate (starting point)
Climb to Panalaban Base Camp (3272m) for approximately 4-5 hours. Check into accommodation.
Dinner at a restaurant and overnight

Day 3

2:00AM- Wake up to eat and continue on the ascent to Low’s Peak (4095m)
7:00AM- Start descent back to camp for breakfast and check out. Continue descent to Timpohon Gate.
1:00-3:00PM- Arrival at Timpohon Gate. Transfer back to Kinabalu Park Headquarters. Collect Certificate of Achievement.
Lunch and journey back to Kota Kinabalu City for approximately 2 hours

Overnight

Day 4

ABreakfast and check out
8:30AM- Transfer to White Water rafting activity location
Briefing on safety measures and rapids. Put on rafting gear
Start the 9km-rafting on Kiulu River
12:00PM- End of rafting. Lunch
2:00PM- Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu City

In this Expedition, the location is in areas where it is less accessible and the events that may occur in such places are less predictable. The operator puts every effort to ensure comfortable travelling of the Client, but the operator seeks mutual understanding that certain parts of the destinations will not have the same facilities, emergency, healthcare and safety services of the same quality level as what the Client may be accustomed to in their own country. Road travel may be uncomfortable or even unreliable at times. Client may possibly encounter power failure, insufficient water and limited food selection in remote areas. It is a fundamental condition that the Client acknowledges that all adventure tours require some flexibility and the most meticulously planned arrangement can go wrong. The day to day itinerary is an indication of what the group should accomplish, but not a contractual obligation. It is understood that the route, schedules, itineraries, amenities and mode of transport may be subject to alteration without prior notice due to local circumstances or events, which may include sickness or mechanical breakdown, flight or rail cancellations, strikes, events emanating from political disputes, entry or border difficulties, climate and other unpredictable or unforeseeable circumstances. Therefore, the operator will make the necessary changes in view of the safety and best interest of the Client. These amendments may be made with or without the consultation of the Client. Nonetheless, the operator will do everything within our control to minimize the effects of the enforced changes.
